Question
Is Brentwood Center being considered a Neighborhood Shopping Center on Federal?
So, it would seem you wish to focus growth along our busiest streets, meaning high rise/high density dwellings and mass transit, not requiring adequate parking of at least one parking space per unit? And by keeping low density housing "generally" low density, you intend to surround areas of SFDs with high density, view blocking, traffic increasing dwellings. And you believe by lessening available parking, and by installing speed humps and bike lanes with their accompanying poles and narrowing of streets you will "calm" traffic. I would love to see "vibrant" social and commercial areas, with safe shopping and coffee shops; no panhandlers (or whatever they are called now)... big, organized community centers are not what I seek, but safe streets and sidewalks giving easy access to pleasant corners where one can sit, sip a coffee, greet friends and neighbors, read a book...
I trust that these plans have not been already decided, but will be voted upon by the citizens residing in the area. I have a sense that regardless of what is wanted, politicians among you will do whatever you choose, leaving it to us to learn to live with your decisions. We do NOT need hundreds of more apartment buildings with insufficient parking blocking the views of our mountains and plains. We do NOT need more people standing at uncovered spots along our streets and boulevards waiting and waiting for a bus to arrive. We do NOT need our historical homes and buildings destroyed to accommodate some political transplant's vision. I look forward to seeing your plan...and I hope it's good for all.
Question
Where is this proposed festival street? What streets am I looking at in this diagram?
