Suggestion
Along both sides of the rail line it can get very loud when freight trains go by. Additional sound barriers matching the new sound barriers near the jewell bike overpass would be a welcome addition and would go a long way to enhancing the area around the station and the neighborhood.
Suggestion
I would really like to see this increase from duplexes to triplexes/quadplexes especially near the Evans light rail station on both sides of santa fe to promote density near transit. I would like to see even more upzoning in the direct vicinity of the station to allow for higher density that is walkable to the light rail.
Question
Does a nieghborhood bikeway qualify for traffic mitigation such as speed cushions, raised crosswalks, additonal stop signs, traffic diverters, and pedestrian signage?
Suggestion
Need more seated areas and outdoor space to cultivate gatherings and communal spaces. Need a coffee shop or brewery with seating areas as well to assist with gatherings and business.
Suggestion
I agree that signage and 'Litter' education as stated in other comments needs to be incorporated in order to have a thriving community. Education or signage to show how trash management affects the environment, community, and ultimately our waterways (Sanderson Gulch)
Suggestion
Sanderson Gulch could be amazing. I suggest the pathways have signage to connect through neighborhoods, and also signage about protecting trash from infiltrating waterways and the effect it has on our health and property value. As of now, the Westwood neighborhood section is filled with a stench and trash that is commonly found throughout.
Suggestion
Please please, please repave and expand the lanes on Sheridan from Mississippi to 6th Ave. Driving with narrow, mounded lanes and drivers dodging potholes increases the danger for pedestrians and drivers. I would rather go out of my way on back streets than to drive this section; however, it is my daily commute from my house, which is located on this strip of Sheridan, and it is not feasible to avoid daily.
Suggestion
Currently, this parking lot has pot holes everywhere, just driving through the parking lot is a dangerous feat to your car alignment and tires. Building sitting areas and more access to healthy food should be implemented here along with a repaving of the parking lot with clear directional lines.
Question
Has there been any consideration or discussions with Excel regarding undergrounding the transmission towers that run down Tennessee and Mississippi?
Question
The previous draft had a more illustrative example of how this area could be redeveloped, which I liked. This revision seems much more vague. Why was that portion removed? We are really hoping for a coffee shop and/or brewery — somewhere with comfortable seating and an enjoyable environment to walk to and hang out with friends.
Suggestion
The plan for Westwood/Morrison road DESPERATELY needs a plan for litter. Litter is a HUGE problem in the community. The residents need education and we need to build community norms against littering, now it's completely socially acceptable to litter. We need more trash cans, signage, education, and enforcement. We need community clean up because the neighborhood is currently full of trash, and it's not going to be a vibrant gathering spot when it's currently a dump.
Wonderful!
Suggestion
Can a permanent concrete barrier be considered to protect pedestrians from traffic on federal?
Suggestion
Lanes should NOT be added to Federal to accomodate BRT. Lanes are not being added in other areas of this corridor and should not be added in the SW corridor either. This is not equitable.
Question
Are there currently height restrictions on Federal? Will proposed rezoning maintain or add height restricitons?
How does this align with the Mississippi Avenue Vision Zero Safety Projects?
Question
Have there been considerations for noise mitigation measures to reduce road noice from I-25 and Santa Fe Drive?
This would be wonderful
Question
What is driving this "preservation"
Question
BRT is planned for Mississippi?
Suggestion
Vallejo should be prioritzed due to its proximity to a heavily used park and school. Additionally its complete lack of calming (i.e. no crosswalks, no stop signs) despite all other streets adjacent to the park having some level of traffic calming. Use of stronger language beyond "consider" traffic calming
Lanes should NOT be added to federal to accomodate BRT
Suggestion
Vallejo should have a protected bike lane not just a bikeway
Question
What improvement is proposed here?
Suggestion
An east/west pedestrian bridge over the train tracks is needed connecting Lipan to Jason. Otherwise, pediestria access to/from Athmar is still cut off from everything east
Suggestion
Huston Lake Park should be considered for a View Plane ordinance
Suggestion
I would like to see a couple big box variety stores in Marlee! I.E. Target; Walmart; an Outlet store! Oh, and a Krispy Kreme donut shop would be a great plus also! Thanks, Cookie C.
in reply to Robert Vlier's comment
They also constantly blow the stop signs, so roundabouts, or something would be helpful to force slowing.
Suggestion
Crossing Florida all the way from Federal to S. Platte is extremely dangerous due to constantly-speeding cars. Consider traffic calming, lights, overpasses into Sanderson Gulch area, really anything to make crossing this street feel less like playing Frogger.
in reply to Robert Vlier 2's comment
+1 Massively in agreement!
Suggestion
This still needs to allow for more density. Allowing for "Low-Medium" throughout the entire currently "low" areas still allows single family homes where it makes sense, but also allows for more appropriate density where it can be responsibly developed.

Answer
Thank you -- the link has been fixed
Suggestion
It should be seriously considered that permanent speed enforcement cameras are installed throughout neighborhoods streets like Tejon, Jewell, Perry, etc and busy cooridors like Federal, Alameda, Mississippi, Florida etc. Colorado has legalized the use to speed enforcement cameras in the streets. Cities like Boulder, Wheat Ridge, and Fort Collins have implemented this. Bigger cities like San Francisco have implemented speed cameras city wide. Denver should consider the same, especially in the southwest neighborhoods where it’s a problem!
Suggestion
The center turn lane in Mississippi should be eliminated in its entirety. If you’re driving if the speed limit (30mph) cars will often pass you in the center turn lane, creating a dangerous situation for pedestrians and other vehicles.
Suggestion
The city should aggressively market the Be A Smart Ash program to encourage people to get trees planted, and maybe potentially explore offering incentives to encourage people to plant trees/xeroscape. i.e. certain discount on their trash or storm water bill.
Suggestion
Connecting the bike lane from farther north on Broadway would bring more patrons than parking.
Suggestion
BRT on Broadway makes a ton of sense given the number of passengers who use the 0.
Suggestion
Yes, please re-start the C line. Many people would use it regularly.
Would love to see these sections truly become more trail like. Right now just regular roads.
Perry st needs traffic calming. People drive very fast and there are a lot of hills and parked cars that make long stretches dangerous.
Suggestion
BRT on Alameda would be a huge benefit.
Would not describe this as "high comfort" in the area. Many drivers have no idea that they are sharing the road with bikes and with all of the street parking it is really tight for everybody.
This loop route goes along some roads, even in the neighborhoods, where cars are travelling at very high speeds. A lot of improvements needed to make this safe for pedestrians and cyclists.
Suggestion
Morrison road is dangerous on a bike and the roadway infrastructure here should be improved beyond just streetscapes so that it is safe for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers
Suggestion
This crossing at Alameda is dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists. Need to get the recommended crossing completed.
Suggestion
At busy local intersections, like W Louisiana and S Tejon, they should be roundabouts to discourage speeding drivers.
Suggestion
The Mississippi shopping center should encourage infill that includes a grocery store for the Athmar Park, and Ruby Hill neighborhood.
Suggestion
With the upcoming developments of the broncos stadium in Burnam Yard and the NWSL soccer stadium in Santa Fe Yards, residential use (particularly residential development like row homes, multi-use buildings with residential units) should be encouraged for key opportunities 3 and 4. These two developments will transform the area.
Suggestion
Traffic calming measures are very much needed on S Tejon Street. Cars will speed down the stretch of road from Florida to Mississippi well above the posted speed limit.
Suggestion
The recommended protected bike lane on Tejon in Athmar park should be extended down all the way from Mississippi to Florida in Ruby Hill to reduce speeding on the street! Very dangerous to bike on!!!
